COURSE OVERVIEW

This course provides employees with concrete, applicable strategies to protect themselves and others in the event of an active shooter, including understanding how to react when law enforcement arrives. The course content is easily adaptable to suit your unique workplace environment, regulations, and Emergency Action Plan, including specific elements related to ‘When Law Enforcement Arrives.’

COURSE TOPICS

  • Describe actions to take in an active shooter situation when law enforcement officers arrive
  • Explain what to expect from first responders during an active shooter situation.

ONLINE COURSE DURATION

Approximately 7 minutes

PASS MARK

Participants are assessed throughout the course with test questions designed to reinforce the ‘When Law Enforcement Arrives’ content. Each participant is required to complete these assessments. A score of 80% is necessary to earn a certificate of completion. Each participant is given the opportunity to retake the course three times if the pass mark is not achieved on the first attempt.

CERTIFICATE OF COMPLETION

Those who successfully complete the ‘When Law Enforcement Arrives’ course can download and print a certificate of completion through the learning management system.
