This online program, 'North American Cargo Securement Core Program', focuses on the NSC Standard 10 Cargo Securement which received approval from the Council of Ministers Responsible for Transportation and Highway Safety on June 8, 2013.
Our online ‘North American Cargo Securement Core Program’ aims to provide a comprehensive understanding of the key principles and overall requirements of cargo securement, based on the National Safety Code for Motor Carriers (Standard 10). By the end of this course, participants will have a thorough understanding of the cargo securement standard, the obligations of carriers and drivers, as well as general cargo securement requirements which include the securement system, minimum strength requirements, tiedowns, edge protectors, and cargo placement.

The testing protocol in this online course is constructed to reinforce the information provided. A score of 80% is required to pass the course. Participants have up to three attempts to achieve the pass mark.
Upon achieving a pass mark in this online course, participants can download and print a certificate of completion. This certificate remains valid for 3 years from the completion date printed on the certificate unless otherwise specified by an employer, legislation, or other authority.
