The possibility of an active shooter event is a reality in any work environment. This curriculum adopts a pragmatic approach to readying for such unexpected scenarios, integrating latest insights from FBI research to further empower the Run-Hide-Fight strategy endorsed by US Homeland Security.

Survival Mindset

COURSE OVERVIEW

Employees are equipped with precise, feasible actions they can take when faced with an active shooter, along with the appropriate response when law enforcement arrives. The Survival Mindset course can be easily tailored to suit your specific work environment, company policies, and Emergency Action Plan.

COURSE TOPICS

  • Explain the benefits of a survival mindset, describe how training affects your ability to react in an emergency situation 
  • Identify tactics to develop a survival mindset.

ONLINE COURSE DURATION

Approximately 7 minutes

PASS MARK

Assessments are made throughout the Survival Mindset course. The tests are designed to reinforce the information delivered and must be completed by each participant. A score of 80% is required to obtain a certificate of completion. Each participant has the opportunity to retake the course three times if they didn’t meet the pass mark on their initial attempt.

CERTIFICATE OF COMPLETION

Upon successful completion of the Survival Mindset course, participants will be able to generate a certificate of completion from the learning management system.
