Through the Machine Guarding module, you will become familiar with the threats involved in machinery operation, the techniques of machine guarding, the various kinds of machine safeguards, and your duties while handling safeguarded machinery.

Upon successful completion of the Machine Guarding course, you should be able to identify:

  • The risks associated with mechanical equipment operation, including where those risks are present and the motions and actions that lead to those risks
  • The objective of machine guarding, safeguarding device prerequisites, factors that affect safeguarding techniques, and the safeguarding methods used to shield you from mechanical risks
  • Your duties to use machine safeguards effectively
