North American Cargo Securement
The online North American Cargo Securement Program, based on the NSC Standard 10 Cargo Securement endorsed by the Council of Ministers Responsible for Transportation and Highway Safety on June 8, 2013, is the focus of this course.
The North American Cargo Securement Program online course, aims to elucidate the basic principles and overall requirements of cargo securement, following the National Safety Code for Motor Carriers (Standard 10). After completion of the North American Cargo Securement course, learners should have a comprehensive understanding of the cargo securement standard, obligations of carriers and drivers, and the general requirements of cargo securement, including the securement system, minimum strength requirements, tiedowns and edge protectors, and cargo placement.
