  • The U.S. Department of Transportation Pipeline and Hazardous Materials Safety Administration, along with its supporting agencies, regulate the transportation of these dangerous substances within the US, ensuring that they comply with the Hazardous Materials Regulations (HMR).

Shipping Papers

  • Shippers have the responsibility of documenting hazardous materials information before offering them for transport. This module delves into the components of accurately prepared shipping papers.

Packaging

  • This module delves into the HMR’s packaging requirements for hazardous materials. The U.S. Department of Transportation and its designated agencies regulate the packaging and transportation of HAZMAT. They also have the authority to inspect HAZMAT packages and penalize you or your employer for any HMR violations.

Marking

  • This e-Lessons series on Hazardous Materials Transportation provides general awareness training on the U.S. Department of Transportation (USDOT) Hazardous Materials Regulations. Module 4, in particular, covers the marking and labeling of hazardous materials.
