Ammonia is a multi-faceted substance with a wide range of applications. From refrigeration to cleaning, bleaching to household cleaning, and even in the manufacturing of fertilizers, plastics, explosives, and pharmaceuticals, Ammonia’s role is extensive.

The Ammonia Awareness course aims to assist learners in understanding the fundamental aspects of blood-borne pathogens, illustrating protective measures, and outlining the steps to take in case of exposure, including the decontamination process.

Ammonia holds significant importance for plant, animal, and human life. It is a common element in water, soil, and air, providing the much-needed nitrogen for plants and animals. The majority of the ammonia in nature is derived from the organic breakdown of manure and deceased plants and animals. However, ammonia does pose certain risks.
