The “Personal Protective Equipment: Safe at Work” course aims to safeguard workers and their livelihood against potential hazards in the work environment. It equips employees and their supervisors with skills to correctly select, apply, and sustain PPE in the workplace.

Upon successful completion of this course, participants should be able to:

  • Appropriately fit, upkeep, and utilize personal protective equipment
  • Perform a thorough hazard assessment of the workplace and adhere to guidelines for PPE selection
  • Avert eye injuries by identifying and mitigating potential workplace hazards and by opting for suitable eye protection devices
  • Evade foot injuries by comprehending and mitigating potential workplace hazards and by selecting appropriate foot safety gear
  • Prevent head injuries by being vigilant of overhead hazards and choosing the right type of helmet for the task

PASS MARK

Testing conducted throughout this online “Personal Protective Equipment: Safe at Work” course is designed to reinforce the information presented. A mark of 80% must be achieved in order to receive a certificate of completion. Participants are able to repeat the course twice if the pass mark is not achieved on the first attempt.
