Personal Protective Equipment for Employees (PPE)

COURSE OVERVIEW

The Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) is the final barrier safeguarding workers from the dangers of the workplace. Therefore, it's essential that all workers are well-versed in the correct selection, utilization, and upkeep of all the PPE they require for their jobs. This educational module equips learners with the core concepts of various PPE types including hardhats, protection for eyes, faces, hearing, hands, and feet. The "hierarchy of hazard controls" and workers' and employers' rights and responsibilities regarding PPE are also addressed in this course. Brief introductions to more specialized types of PPE, like fall protection, body and limb protection, and high-visibility safety clothing are also included. Do note that this course does not cover respiratory protection, which is dealt with in a separate, comprehensive course.
