Gas Monitor Competence Training – BW Micro5 with VOC Gas Monitor
This training satisfies the OSHA 1910.146(h)(2) criteria for understanding the BW Micro5 VOC gas monitor operation. The necessity for this course arises from the fact that OSHA Confined Space Entry curriculum does not include this critical information. The course also serves as a revision for the risks associated with confined space entry.
This program is meant to complement and not replace the operating manual that accompanied your product. It is crucial to thoroughly read the manual before using the device. The product will function as intended only if used and maintained per the manufacturer’s instructions. If not, it could malfunction, and those who depend on the product for their safety could suffer severe personal injury or lose their lives.
The Gas Monitor Competence Training is essential, not optional, as the gas detector – the single piece of equipment upon which the worker’s life depends – is NOT COVERED in OSHA Confined Space Entry curriculum. OSHA courses alone leave workers incapable of safely and confidently operating their gas detectors. This course is tailored to your specific monitor and offers what manuals or YouTube videos cannot provide. The Gas Monitor Competence Training bridges the gap between “compliant” and “safe,” integrates the elements of a confined space refresher, and highlights the features of the gas monitors that are most beneficial to the workers, thus more effectively complying with 1910.146(h)(2).
