Manager’s Role

In 2020, Alberta OH&S legislation underwent significant revisions, which came into effect on December 1, 2021. These revisions have implications for this course. AMHSA is currently working to update all relevant eLearning and instructor-led courses to reflect these changes. A supplement addressing the updated legislation has been added to this course in the interim. The new legislation applies only to Alberta residents. This online Manager's Role course is a concise version for senior managers of the key principles elaborated on in the leadership for safety excellence program. It covers managers' legal responsibilities and the essential behaviours and actions of managers that have been shown to establish successful health and safety management systems.
