The Hazardous Spills online course educates workers about the potential dangers of HAZMATs and the necessary steps for their safe cleanup. While hazardous materials in the workplace are generally safe when handled appropriately, accidents can happen. Knowing how to respond to a spill prevents serious harm. The Hazardous Spills course covers important areas such as the basics of HAZMATs, the Emergency Action Plan, the role of the spill response team, initial actions in response to a spill, spill assessment and cleanup, unique risks associated with a HAZMAT spill cleanup, procedures for decontamination and waste disposal, and more.

Continuous testing throughout this online course is designed to reinforce the information presented. An 80% pass score is required to complete this course. The course can be attempted three times in efforts to achieve the pass mark. A comprehensive student manual is available for download and printing, serving as an excellent resource for future reference and knowledge retention.
Upon successful completion of this online course, a certificate of completion will be available for download and printing.
