This all-inclusive online course on Lockout/Tagout Training (LOTO) equips you with the knowledge to explain the concept of LOTO, recognize the dangers of hazardous energy, and outline the fundamental steps of implementing LOTO.
Hazardous energy is prevalent in various forms across a wide array of industries in Canada. The implementation of Lockout and Tagout (LOTO) is crucial to prevent accidental release of such hazardous energy. Lockout and Tagout protocols necessitate that hazardous energy sources be isolated and incapacitated prior to the commencement of maintenance or service work, thereby averting catastrophic injuries and fatalities resulting from unexpected energization. The Lockout/Tagout Training course draws on the CSA standards Z462 – Workplace Electrical Safety and Z460-13 Control of Hazardous Energy – Lockout and Other Methods.
The Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) Training course is organized into four sections:
A final exam will be conducted upon completion to assess your understanding.
Upon concluding this online course, you should be capable of:

Participants must secure an 80% score to be eligible for a completion certificate for this online Lockout/Tagout Training course. The course can be retaken twice if the passing score is not achieved on the first attempt.
A completion certificate will be made available for download and print once you have successfully finished this online course.
