This module enables you to understand the risks involved in machinery operation, the techniques of machine guarding, the various kinds of machine safeguards, and your duties while handling safeguarded machinery.
Through the Machine Guarding module, you will become familiar with the threats involved in machinery operation, the techniques of machine guarding, the various kinds of machine safeguards, and your duties while handling safeguarded machinery.
Upon successful completion of the Machine Guarding course, you should be able to identify:
- The risks associated with mechanical equipment operation, including where those risks are present and the motions and actions that lead to those risks
- The objective of machine guarding, safeguarding device prerequisites, factors that affect safeguarding techniques, and the safeguarding methods used to shield you from mechanical risks
- Your duties to use machine safeguards effectively
- Mechanical Hazards
- Safeguards Offer Protection
- Don’t Let Your Guard Down

Testing carried out throughout this online Machine Guarding course is intended to reinforce the knowledge imparted. A score of 80% is required to earn a certificate of completion. Participants are permitted to retake the course twice if the pass mark is not attained.
Upon successful completion of this online Machine Guarding course, a certificate of completion will be available for download and printing.
