    Upon completion of this course, learners will have the ability to:

    • Understand the role of respirators, the hazards they guard against, and employer responsibilities concerning respirators
    • Recognize respiratory protection gear including different facepieces, air-purifying respirators, atmosphere-supplying respirators, filters, cartridges, canisters, escape-only respirators, and breathing air
    • Explain the importance of a respirator fit test, the procedure involved, and factors that can impact a good seal
    • Discuss the end-of-service life, and the methods to clean, store, inspect, and repair respirators
    • Describe the process to check a respirator for cleanliness and damage, ensure a proper seal, and use a respirator appropriately

    Testing conducted throughout this online course aims to reinforce the information provided. To receive a certificate of completion, a score of 80% must be achieved. Participants have three attempts to reach the pass mark.
