The "Electrical Safety - Safe work practices" course is an online training that provides the necessary knowledge for employees to safeguard themselves while working with low voltage electricity. This course also meets the OSHA training standards as specified under 29 CFR Part 1910.331 for non-qualified employees. Electricity is omnipresent. It illuminates our homes, drives a vast majority of our machinery, equipment, and tools. Despite its ubiquity, it is often taken for granted. However, electricity holds potential dangers and employees should be informed about how electricity operates and the precautions needed to keep safe from its potential risks. The "Electrical Safety - Safe work practices" course covers topics including understanding electricity, circuit breakers and fuses, ground fault circuit interrupters (GFCIs) and grounding, safety protocols, outlets, plugs and extension cords, working with electrical equipment, precautions when using ladders near electricity, electrical emergencies, among others.
