Upon completion of this HAZWOPER course, you will be equipped to:
- Articulate strategies for adequate preparedness
- Understand the techniques to detect an emergency discharge of hazardous substances, identify the substances involved, when to execute an Emergency Response Plan (ERP), and what details to convey when alerting emergency responders
- Enumerate considerations when assessing a situation and preparing to act during an ERP
- Comprehend the procedures and steps for assisting victims and managing or controlling the release of a hazardous substance
- Recognize post-procedures once an emergency response has ended
Approximately 50 minutes
Testing conducted throughout this online course is designed to reinforce the information presented. A mark of 80% must be achieved to pass this course. The course can be attempted up to three times to achieve the pass mark. Printable resources are available in the form of a comprehensive student manual. The manual is a valuable resource for future reference and knowledge retention.
Upon successful completion of this online course, a certificate of completion will be available for download and printing.
