Through various studies, it has been established that chainsaw operations, even under regular working circumstances, carry certain inherent risks. A chainsaw, if mishandled, can lead to serious injuries and even fatalities. These incidents are often attributed to a handful of basic hazards. Our Chainsaw Safety Training course will explore these common hazards that accompany chainsaw operations and provide you with the knowledge and skills to identify and steer clear of these risks.
Upon completion of this Chainsaw Safety (OSHA) training, participants will be able to understand:
- The structure of a chainsaw.
- How to carry out a thorough chainsaw inspection.
- Essential Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Best practices for safe chainsaw operation.
- Risks that come with using chainsaws.

Assessments conducted throughout the online course serve to reinforce the material presented. To successfully complete the course, a score of 80% is required. Up to three attempts are allowed to achieve the pass mark. Printable materials in the form of a comprehensive student guide are available. This guide is a useful tool for future reference and knowledge retention.
Upon successful completion of this online course, a certificate of completion will be available for download and printing.
