This curriculum aims to equip learners with the necessary knowledge and skills to transport dangerous goods in a safe and legal manner, in line with the Canadian TDG Act and its related regulations. The course enables participants to understand their obligations under the Act and the key elements of secure and lawful transportation of hazardous goods, including correct handling, packaging, labeling, placarding, documentation, and procedures for reporting incidents.
The conveyance of hazardous goods poses potential risks to workers, the public, and the environment. Therefore, all individuals involved in the transportation of such goods within the boundaries of Canada are accountable for preventing harm to people, property, and the environment. To ensure this, they must be adequately trained and operate in a cautious and responsible manner. The TDG - Transportation of Dangerous Goods - Act and Regulations were established to assist in this mission. Strict compliance with this Act and its related regulations guarantees the safety of drivers, the public, and the environment during the transportation of hazardous goods within Canada.
This TDG - Transportation of Dangerous Goods - course is structured to inform learners about the Canadian TDG Act and its related regulations, aiming to equip them to transport hazardous goods in a safe and legal manner. As part of this course, participants will gain insights into their obligations under this Act, relevant segments of the legislation, and the key elements of secure and lawful transportation of hazardous goods, such as correct handling, packaging, labeling, placarding, documentation, and procedures for reporting incidents.
This digital Transportation of Dangerous Goods course delves into the following areas:
Approximately 120 minutes
Assessment is conducted throughout the course via test questions specifically designed to reinforce the information delivered. All participants must complete these tests. A score of 80% is required to obtain a certificate of completion. Each participant is granted the opportunity to retake the course THREE TIMES if the course pass mark has not been achieved in the initial attempt. Supplementary materials to assist you through the course will be provided upon registration.
Upon successful completion of the course, participants will have the ability to download and print an online certificate of completion via the learning management system.
