(This course can be utilized as a standalone course or in conjunction with MARCOM's DOT HAZMAT Safety Training Interactive CD-ROM Course). The DOT HAZMAT General Awareness course encompasses a range of topics including the regulations themselves, hazardous materials, their definitions and classes, hazard communication, hazard indicators like labels, shipping papers and placards, locations where hazardous materials might be encountered, packaging and shipping, transportation (trucks, ships, rail, etc.), storage, security concerns and more.
