This Canada-compliant safety training course is designed specifically for operators of water trucks. The course encompasses detailed instruction on water truck anatomy, stability, safe operations, and potential hazards. This course fulfills the theoretical requirements for occupational safety training. Additionally, it includes a proficiency checklist that employers can utilize to conduct a practical assessment. Upon successful completion, trainees will have the ability to download and print a certificate or wallet card demonstrating their completion of the Water Truck (CAN) training. Please note: Only an employer can certify an employee. Certification requirements may differ by state or province. It's advised to verify local standards for any further occupational training requirements.

COURSE OVERVIEW

Our comprehensive Water Truck (CAN) training course is regulation compliant, and our online version meets classroom training requirements. Each module is focused on water truck anatomy, stability, safe operations, and hazards.  As part of our Water Truck (CAN) training, we will be examining the various parts of a water truck and their functions. We will be going through the critical elements of the pre-shift inspection and emphasizing its role in ensuring safe operations. We will also delve into the principles of stability that will assist operators in preventing rollovers. Moreover, we will cover safe operating guidelines, including procedures to fill the tank, deploy spray, travel with a full tank, and operate the hose. We will highlight the required PPE for operators. Lastly, we will explore common risks associated with water truck operations and strategies to mitigate them. 

Although you will still need to acquaint yourself with all other relevant federal, state, and local standards, this training covers the following laws and regulations:

  • Canada Labour Code, Part II
    Occupational Health and Safety. Sec. 124-125.
    “Employer Responsibilities.”
  • Canada Labour Code, Part II
    Occupational Health and Safety. Sec. 126. “Employee Responsibilities.”
  • Transport Canada – Motor Vehicle Safety Regulations
