This Rigger and Signalperson - Intermediate course, which is compliant with Canadian safety training standards, is designed specifically for riggers and signalers. The course covers a range of topics including definitions, types of slings, hardware, weight and balance, angles and stresses, sling hitches, center of gravity, and communication. This course satisfies the classroom component of occupational safety training and includes a proficiency checklist for employers to use for practical evaluations. Upon completion, participants can download and print a certificate or wallet card as proof of their training. Please note that only employers can grant employee certifications, and certification requirements can vary by state or province. It's advised to check local standards for any additional training requirements.
The Rigger and Signalperson (Intermediate) (CAN) course is OSHA compliant and the online version satisfies OSHA’s classroom training requirement.
Throughout the course, participants will encounter practice quiz questions to prepare for the final written exam. The course also includes a checklist for employers to use during a practical exam as per OSHA requirements.
