Upon completing the Respiratory Protection – Vivid course, the learners should be able to:
- Understand the reasons for using a respirator
- Identify factors that influence the effectiveness of respirators, their limitations and capabilities, and the employer’s duties for respirator use in the workplace
- Explain how respirators are used in a work setting, including the necessary medical evaluations, fit testing, inspection, seal checks, and their maintenance and storage requirements
- Determine when an employee can leave a respirator use area, recognize the warning signs of a malfunctioning respirator, and learn the appropriate actions during an emergency situation

Testing conducted in this online course is designed to reinforce the information presented. A mark of 80% must be achieved to receive a certificate of completion. Participants can attempt the course twice if the pass mark is not achieved.
