This module isn't tailored to the distinctive nature of each PIT but instead focuses on the shared hazards and safe usage practices. This education piece is designed for operators, supervisors, and employees who work in industries where PITs are widely used. It equips drivers with the ability to distinguish between safe and unsafe operating conditions and behaviors, thus reducing accident risks. Note that this module provides general safety awareness and doesn't offer authorized, qualified, or competent person training. All operators are urged to consult their specific PIT operation manual before usage.

Testing conducted throughout this online course is designed to reinforce the information presented. A mark of 80% must be achieved in order to receive a certificate of completion. Participants are able to repeat the course twice if the pass mark is not achieved.
