Our Powered Industrial Truck (PIT) General (OSHA) safety course is designed for operators of powered industrial trucks. The course covers various aspects such as truck anatomy and inspection, stability, and secure operation guidelines. This course satisfies the classroom instruction prerequisite for occupational safety training. It also incorporates a proficiency checklist for employers to conduct practical evaluations. After finishing the course, participants will have the option to download and print a certificate or wallet card signifying the completion of the Powered Industrial Truck (PIT) General training. NOTE: Only an employer has the authority to certify an employee. The certification prerequisites can differ based on the state or province. Refer to local standards for any added occupational training requirements.
The Powered Industrial Truck (PIT) General safety training course is designed in compliance with OSHA standards. The online version of the course meets OSHA’s classroom training mandate. The course is segmented into sections that cover anatomy, maintenance and inspections, principles of stability, safe operations, and common hazards related to Powered Industrial Truck (PIT) operations.
This course incorporates intermittent practice quiz questions to help prepare for the final written exam at the end of the course. Besides the written exam, we also provide a checklist for employers to use while administering a practical exam as mandated by standards and regulations.
