This safety training course, in compliance with OSHA regulations, is designed for all individuals. The course covers topics such as the origins, indicators, and symptoms of mental illnesses, appropriate responses, and tackling common misconceptions. This course satisfies the classroom requirement for occupational safety training. It also incorporates a proficiency checklist for employers to execute a practical examination. After completion, trainees can download and print a certificate or wallet card as proof of their Mental Health First Aid training completion. NOTE: Only an employer can certify an employee. Certification requirements may vary by state or province. Please refer to local standards for any other occupational training requirements.
Our Mental Health First Aid course aligns with both OSHA and Canadian standards. The course is structured in sections, focusing on the origins of mental health issues, indicators and symptoms of mental health conditions, appropriate responses, and addressing common misconceptions.
The course includes periodic practice quiz questions to prepare trainees for the final written exam. Alongside the written exam, we provide an employer checklist for conducting a practical exam, as mandated by OSHA.
Estimated Training Duration: The duration of the training may differ based on individual learning speed. However, the estimated time frame for this training is between 2 – 2.5 hours.

While it’s essential to be updated with all other relevant federal, state, and local standards, this training encompasses the following laws and regulations:
• OSH Act of 1970, Section 5(a)(1), General Duty Clause – “Each employer — (1) shall provide each of his employees’ employment and a place of employment which are free from recognized hazards that are causing or are likely to cause death or serious physical harm to his employees; (2) shall comply with occupational safety and health standards promulgated under this Act.”

The passing score for this course is 80%, and you will be given 2 attempts to pass the test.
Upon successful completion of the Mental Health First Aid course, a certificate can be downloaded and printed as proof.
