Intro to Safety and Health Programs (CAN)

This Canadian-compliant safety training course is designed to impart knowledge on overall workplace safety measures. The course curriculum includes modules on leadership in management, employee engagement, hazard identification and evaluation, prevention and control of hazards, education and training, performance monitoring and review, and coordination strategies for multiple employer worksites. This course fulfills the theoretical requirement for occupational safety training and comes with an efficiency checklist for employers to conduct a practical assessment. After completing the Canada Intro to Safety and Health Programs training, participants can download and print an achievement certificate or a wallet card. Please Note: Only the employer can officially certify an employee. Certification requirements may differ as per regional laws. Please verify local standards for any additional occupational training necessities.

COURSE OVERVIEW
The Intro to Safety & Health Programs course is compliant with regulations, and our online edition meets the classroom training standards. The course encompasses sections on leadership in management, employee engagement, hazard identification and evaluation, prevention and control of hazards, education and training, program monitoring and improvement, and coordination strategies for multiple employer worksites.

In this course, we will delve into the integral role of management in establishing a safety and health program and understand how employees can actively partake in safety and health initiatives. We will learn to recognize and evaluate worksite hazards and then discuss strategies to prevent and control these hazards. We will focus on training employees about safety and health initiatives and understand how to assess the effectiveness of a safety and health program to bring about necessary improvements. The course also covers additional considerations for worksites with multiple employers.

The course modules are interspersed with practice quiz questions to help prepare for the final written exam. The estimated duration for this training course varies from person to person, but on average, it should take between 1 and 1.5 hours.

It is recommended to familiarize yourself with all other relevant federal, state, and local standards. This training incorporates the following laws and regulations:
