Industrial Sweeper and Scrubber (OSHA)

This course provides OSHA-compliant safety training specifically for operators of industrial sweepers and scrubbers. Key areas of focus include equipment anatomy, secure operations, and potential hazards. This course satisfies the classroom prerequisite for occupational safety training. Moreover, it encompasses a proficiency checklist for employers to conduct a practical assessment. After finishing the course, trainees have the option to download and print a certificate or wallet card signifying completion of Industrial Sweeper and Scrubber training. NOTE: Certification of an employee can only be granted by an employer. Certification requirements may differ from one state or province to another. Please refer to local regulations for any further occupational training requisites.

COURSE OVERVIEW


Our Industrial Sweeper and Scrubber safety training program is designed to be OSHA compliant. The online version of the program meets the OSHA requirement for classroom training. Each session includes components on equipment anatomy and inspection, secure operations, and identification of common hazards.

The course includes periodic practice quizzes to help prepare for the final written test that is part of the course. Additionally, this course provides a checklist for employers to use for administering a practical test as mandated by OSHA.

Estimated Training Duration: The duration of this training can vary depending on individual learning pace. However, it is estimated that this training should take between 1.5 to 2 hours.

Target Audience:
•    Employees
This training covers the following OSHA standards for industrial sweepers and scrubbers, although trainees must also be familiar with any other relevant federal, state, and local standards:
•    29 CFR 1910 Subpart D – Walking-Working Surfaces
•    29 CFR 1910.141 – Sanitation
•    29 CFR 1910.147 – The control of hazardous energy
•    General Duty Clause, Section 5(a)(1) – “Each employer shall furnish to each of his employees employment and a place of employment which are free from recognized hazards that are causing or are likely to cause death or serious physical harm to his employees.”
