COURSE OVERVIEW

In accordance with 49 CFR, Part 172.704, the ICC Security Awareness (49 CFR) course necessitates all employees dealing with hazardous materials to undergo security awareness training. Employers are obligated to make sure that their employees are trained within 90 days of their employment date and are required to undertake refresher training every three years.

As stipulated in 49 CFR 172.704(e): “Each employee dealing with hazardous materials must undertake training that ensures an understanding of the security risks involved in transporting hazardous materials and the methods to boost the security of this transportation.”

THE 49 CFR REGULATIONS ARE MANDATORY FOR COMPLETION OF THE ICC SECURITY AWARENESS (49 CFR) TRAINING.
