Upon completion of the HAZWOPER: Medical Program course, students will be able to:
- Understand the concept of medical surveillance, its importance and identify who needs to be medically monitored
- Learn about various medical exams including pre-assignment, periodic, and termination exams, along with written opinions and maintaining confidentiality
- Identify potential signs and symptoms of chemical exposure and heat/cold exposures and the requirements for emergency and non-emergency medical treatment
- Understand why it’s crucial to maintain a medical surveillance program, medical records, and perform medical program reviews

This online HAZWOPER: Medical Program course incorporates multiple tests to reinforce the information provided. A minimum score of 80% is required to obtain a certificate of completion. Participants have up to three attempts to achieve the pass mark.
