Upon course completion, participants should be able to:

  • Identify preventive measures for injuries and illnesses, including hazard control and prioritizing safety
  • Enumerate chemical hazards (inclusive of health and physical hazards from chemicals), exposure symptoms, and preventive measures
  • Convey understanding of other health hazards like radiation, biological hazards, heat stress, cold temperatures, ergonomic issues, noise, and potential psychological impacts
  • Acknowledge other physical hazards like electrical hazards, confined spaces, equipment and tool hazards, falling objects, weather-related hazards, and other site safety hazards

Testing conducted throughout this online HAZWOPER: Health & Physical Hazards course is designed to reinforce the information presented. A score of 80% must be achieved to earn a certificate of completion. The course can be taken three times to achieve the pass mark.
