This digital Hazard Communication course aims to provide comprehensive knowledge about the HazCom Standard, the Globally Harmonized System of Classification and Labelling of Chemicals (GHS), Safety Data Sheets (SDSs), and chemical labels.
Every day, workers come into contact with hazardous chemical products, leading to potential health risks for themselves and liabilities for their employers. This Hazard Communication (HazCom) course is designed to equip workers with the essential information to identify and evade these hazardous chemicals.

Upon completion of this Hazard Communication course, participants should have a better understanding of:
- The HazCom Standard and the GHS as dictated by OSHA
- The physical and health risks associated with chemicals
- The components of the hazardous chemical program
- The usage of Safety Data Sheets (SDS) and warning labels in a work environment
This Hazard Communication course covers the following subjects:
- The OSHA HazCom Standard
- The Globally Harmonized System of Classification and Labeling of Chemicals (GHS)
- Hazard classifications
- Responsibilities of manufacturers and importers
- Employer’s responsibilities
- Safety data sheets (SDSs) and labels
- Training

Achieving a score of 80% is necessary to pass this course. Participants can attempt the course up to three times to reach the pass mark.
On successful completion of this online course, participants will be able to download and print a certificate of completion.
