This compact learning unit delves into the understanding of pictograms and their associated risks, as found on labels and Safety Data Sheets (SDSs).
The existence of hazards is universal, but languages are not. With the aim of ensuring safety in workplaces worldwide, regulators are striving to standardize symbols, known as pictograms, in order to convey risks in a consistent way across different workplaces and countries. Our mini-module, Hazard Communication – Pictograms, offers a comprehensive understanding of pictograms and the risks they signify, as they appear on labels and Safety Data Sheets (SDSs).

This online Hazard Communication – Pictograms course incorporates testing throughout to emphasize the information provided. A score of 80% must be achieved to pass this course. Three attempts are allowed to reach the passing score. For future reference and knowledge retention, printable resources are available in the form of an in-depth student manual.
