Annually, numerous injuries and fatalities occur due to forklift-related incidents. The Forklifts: Ultimate Hazard Perception Challenge - Basic Safety Awareness course, the initial stage of a three-part series, is designed to enhance hazard recognition capabilities, equipping operators to anticipate potential dangers and maintain safety.
This online Forklifts: Ultimate Hazard Perception Challenge (Basic) course encompasses the following topics:
- Pre-shift inspections
- Consciousness of environment
- Use of PPE during forklift battery operations
- Reversing with standard or stand-up forklifts
- Ensuring body parts remain within the forklift frame
Upon completion of this course, participants will be able to:
- Effectively predict, identify, and respond to forklift hazards in the workplace
- Understand and implement best practices during forklift operation under any conditions
- Prevent hazardous actions and errors during forklift operation
Estimated time for completion: 30 minutes
The course includes continuous testing to reinforce the material presented. To pass, a score of 80% is required. Participants have three attempts to achieve the pass mark. A comprehensive student manual is provided as a printable resource and serves as a useful tool for future reference and knowledge retention.
Upon successful accomplishment of this online course, a completion certificate will be available for download and print.
