Given the potential threat posed by the uncontrolled release of hazardous materials—such as harmful, flammable gases and waste—to the workforce and the public, it is crucial that people are aware of the risks associated with these operations. Furthermore, Emergency Planning and Community Right-to-Know Act (EPCRA) emphasizes the importance of emergency preparedness for establishments that handle or generate hazardous substances in significant quantities.
