Safety in the workplace is a collective duty between employers and their workforce. According to the General Duty Clause, (Section 5(a)(1) of the OSH Act of 1970), OSHA mandates employers to furnish a secure working condition for their workforce. Nevertheless, every employee must remain cognizant of the potential hazards they could encounter while conducting construction tasks, take preventive actions, eradicate them if possible, and report unsafe conditions and hazards as they occur.
