COURSE OVERVIEW

This module delivers extensive understanding to all employees in the general industry about confined spaces, the potential hazards lurking within these spaces, and the essential guidelines for entering those spaces which mandate permits.

After successful completion of the course titled ‘Confined Spaces’, participants should have a more comprehensive knowledge of:

  • Attributes and instances of a confined space.
  • Possible dangers associated with confined spaces
  • The distinctions between a permit-required confined space and a non-permit required confined space, including the criteria for reclassifying a confined space
  • The responsibility of a worker who is not authorized to enter a confined space during an emergency situation

PASS MARK

Testing carried out throughout this online course is designed to reinforce the concepts presented. A score of 80% is required for the attainment of a certificate of completion. If the pass mark is not achieved, candidates have the opportunity to retake the course twice.
