This course aims to bolster your understanding of general safety principles, boost your ability to identify potential confined spaces, enhance your competence in safe operations, and ultimately safeguard you and your colleagues.
Confined spaces are omnipresent. They span across all industries and are as diverse as the people who venture into them. Features like grain silos, sewers, cargo tanks, engine rooms, storage lockers, crawl spaces, tunnels, access-ways, wells, cellars, trenches, over and above rooms within regular buildings, all qualify as confined spaces.
This “Confined Space – Awareness Training (CAN)” course aims to reinforce your understanding of general safety principles, boost your ability to identify potential confined spaces, enhance your competence in safe operations, and ultimately safeguard you and your colleagues. We will delve deeper into the different types of equipment needed for secure entry and exit, along with tools required for the entirety of the work process.
This Confined Space Awareness Training, which complies with CSA and OHS regulations, fulfills Canada’s prerequisites for the classroom component of operator safety training.
Roughly 2 hours
This course includes quizzes intended to consolidate the information presented. A pass mark of 80% is required to earn a certificate of completion. Participants have the option to retake the course twice if the pass mark is not achieved on the first attempt.
On successfully completing the course, a checklist will be provided which your employer can use to carry out the necessary practical observation.
Upon successful conclusion of this online course, a certificate of completion will be available for you to download and print.
