This Canada-compliant safety training program is designed specifically for chip spreader operators. This educational program covers essential topics such as equipment anatomy & inspections, safety measures during operation, and recognition of common hazards. This course fulfills the classroom prerequisites for occupational safety training. It incorporates a proficiency checklist that employers can utilize for practical evaluations. Upon course completion, trainees can download and print a certificate or a wallet card indicating that they have undergone the Canada Chip Spreader training. NOTE: Only an employer can certify an employee. Certification prerequisites may differ by state or province. Please verify local standards for any extra occupational training requirements.

COURSE OVERVIEW


The Chip Spreader Safety Training course we offer is compliant with regulations, and the online delivery method meets the classroom training criteria. The course content includes sections on equipment anatomy, safety during operations, and identifying common hazards.

Integrated within the course are intermittent practice quizzes to prepare trainees for the final written exam included within the course. Along with the written exam, this course also provides a checklist for employers to use for conducting a practical exam as required.

It is important to note that you will still need to familiarize yourself with all other relevant federal, state, and local standards, this training includes the following standards for asphalt safety:

  • CLC Part II Sec 124
  • CLC Part II Sec 134 – Personal
    Protective Equipment
  • CLC Part XIV Sec 14.12 – Fire Extinguishers
  • CLC Part VII  Sec 7.3 – Occupational Noise

PASS MARK

A score of 80% is required to pass this course and participants are allowed 2 attempts to complete the course.
