Overhead Electrical Utilities (OSHA)
This safety training course, compliant with OSHA standards, is designed specifically for electric utilities workers operating at elevated heights. The curriculum encompasses grounding, equipment handling, secure operations, and rescue procedures. This course satisfies the theoretical training prerequisite for occupational safety. It also incorporates a proficiency checklist for employers to conduct a practical evaluation. On completion, participants can download and print a certificate or wallet card as evidence of their completion of the Overhead Electric Utilities training. Please note: Only an employer can officially certify an employee. Certification prerequisites may differ across states or provinces. Please verify local standards for any supplementary occupational training requirements.

In the course of this training, we'll delve into correct grounding procedures; equipment commonly used in the setting of overhead electric utilities, including cranes and bucket trucks; safe working practices on the site; pole-top and tower-top rescue; and we will discuss case studies to give a clearer understanding of the training topics.
NOTE: This training does not serve as a competent climber/rescuer training.
This course includes periodic practice quiz questions to prepare for the final written exam incorporated in the course. Alongside the written exam, this course features a checklist for employers to use when conducting a practical exam as mandated by OSHA.
