This Canadian safety training course is designed for those who work in proximity to hazardous substances or materials that could be potentially dangerous. The Intro to Industrial Hygiene (CAN) course covers anticipation, recognition, evaluation, controls and industrial hygiene program. This course satisfies the requirement for in-class occupational safety training. It also provides a proficiency checklist for employers to conduct a practical evaluation. Upon successful completion of the training, participants can download and print a certificate or a wallet card as proof of their training. Note: Only employers can certify an employee, and certification prerequisites may differ by state or province. Check local standards for further occupational training requirements.
Our Intro to Industrial Hygiene (CAN) course complies with regulations, and the online format meets classroom training prerequisites. This course includes sections on hazard anticipation, recognition, evaluation, control, and the industrial hygiene program.
During the course, we will explore how industrial hygiene principles are applied in the workplace. We'll examine how hygienists anticipate hazards and recognize existing ones in the workplace. We'll delve into how hygienists and workers can assess the severity of a hazard and identify control strategies. We will also discuss the components of an effective industrial hygiene program. To conclude the course, we will analyze some case studies that highlight the risks of neglecting industrial hygiene principles.
This course features occasional practice quiz questions to prepare for the final written exam. Besides the written exam, this course also provides a checklist for employers to use when conducting a practical exam as mandated by OSHA.
