COURSE OVERVIEW

Our Yard Truck (Terminal Tractor) training course is designed to comply with all regulations, and our online variant satisfies classroom training prerequisites. Each module covers the fundamental anatomy and pre-shift inspection of the machinery, Safe Operations, Common Hazards, and Case Studies. In this comprehensive course, we delve into the workings and parts of a yard truck, emphasizing the importance of a thorough pre-shift inspection before operation. We provide practical guidance on secure yard truck operations, including trailer coupling and uncoupling, transportation safety, and effective parking or spotting. Additionally, the course outlines the type of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) required during yard truck operations. We also highlight common yard truck hazards and provide strategies for their recognition, avoidance, or mitigation. Intermittent practice quizzes are included throughout the course to prepare trainees for the final written examination. Along with the written test, our course features a checklist for employers to use for the mandatory practical exam as set by OSHA.
