Our Infection Prevention and Control course, designed with the expertise of infection control consultants and epidemiologists, is a free, 30-minute eLearning program. It provides workers with an understanding of the spread of infections and the measures necessary to protect themselves and others from infectious hazards in their work environment.
This complimentary online course, "Infection Prevention and Control - Alberta", aims to aid Alberta's employers, supervisors, and workers in identifying infectious hazards and implementing infection prevention measures in their workplaces. The course is the result of collaborative efforts between infection control consultants and an epidemiologist.
This "Infection Prevention and Control - Alberta" course covers the following topics:
· An introduction to IPAC and its significance
· The mechanisms of infection transmission
· SGuidelines for infection prevention and control in the workplace.
Approximately 30-45 Minutes
The course includes essential knowledge checks. No examination is required.
Upon successful completion of the course, a certificate of completion will be awarded. This certificate can be downloaded and printed. It remains valid for a period of 3 years from the date of completion mentioned on the certificate unless otherwise stated by an employer, legislation, or other authority. It is recommended that the course be retaken every 3 years from the indicated completion date on the certificate.
This course will take roughly 120 minutes
