COURSE OVERVIEW


The Provincial Hours of Service Course Alberta Regulations aims to provide a detailed understanding of the regulations a driver must adhere to under the Alberta provincial hours of service rules.  These rules are designed to tackle fatigue and ensure safety for commercial transportation personnel, as well as the general public using the same roads. 

Upon finishing this course, the learner should have a clear understanding of work-shift limits, exceptions to these limits, record-keeping requirements (format and procedure), the 160 KM radius exemption, and the driver's responsibilities as per the Provincial Hours of Service Alberta Regulations.

The course is designed to help the participant not just understand the rules that govern their work but also how to practically apply them.

PASS MARK


Participants must score a minimum of 80% to be awarded a certificate of completion.  They are granted one opportunity to retake the course if the passing score is not achieved first time around.
