This Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System (WHMIS) course is crafted to teach employees to identify and comprehend the basic communication standards enforced by the Canadian Government for businesses that import, distribute, or deal with hazardous substances within Canada.
By the end of the WHMIS course, participants should be able to:
- Understand the aim and significance of a hazard communication program
- Recognize standard physical and health risks associated with hazardous chemicals
- Decipher chemicals and their potential hazards via labels, signs, pictograms, and warning procedures
- Understand the use and components of a Safety Data Sheet

Estimated time for completion is 20 minutes
Throughout this online WHMIS course, tests are conducted to reinforce the information learned. Participants must score 80% or above to receive a completion certificate. If the pass mark is not achieved, participants can retake the course twice.
Upon successful completion of this online WHMIS course, a certificate of completion can be downloaded and printed.
