This module aims to instill an understanding of the federal safety regulations pertinent to forklift operation among workers. The course content serves as a theoretical foundation for forklift operator training, and typically precedes practical operator training and location-specific tutoring. Forklift operation regulations are detailed in 29 CFR 1910. The course imparts fundamental safety knowledge for forklift operation and provides tips on navigating a forklift safely in the presence of pedestrians, on difficult terrains, and within confined spaces.

Forklift operation regulations are detailed in 29 CFR 1910. The course imparts fundamental safety knowledge for forklift operation and provides tips on navigating a forklift safely in the presence of pedestrians, on difficult terrains, and within confined spaces.

Assessments throughout this online course are designed to reinforce the knowledge imparted. A minimum score of 80% is required to receive a certificate of completion. Participants have the opportunity to retake the course twice if the passing score is not achieved.
