Our HAZWOPER: Personal Protective Equipment and Clothing course stresses the importance of PPE and CPC designed to shield employees from chemical, physical, and biological dangers when other safety measures are insufficient. It’s critical to note, however, that safety clothing and gear can also present risks, such as heat stress and restricted vision. Thus, equipping employees with the knowledge to choose the most suitable safety clothing or gear for a given situation is paramount.

Upon completing this course, you will be able to:
- Discuss the purpose of personal protective equipment and clothing and factors to consider when choosing them
- Identify the four OSHA levels of protection for CPC ensembles, conditions that necessitate special consideration, and additional supplies to have on-hand when dealing with hazardous substances
- Explain the sequence for donning and doffing personal protective equipment and clothing
- Recognize when inspections of personal protective equipment and clothing should be conducted and what to look for during an inspection
Approximately 60 minutes
Testing conducted throughout this online course is designed to reinforce the information presented. A mark of 80% must be achieved in order to pass this course. The course is able to be taken three times in efforts to achieve the pass mark. Printable resources are available in the form of a comprehensive student manual. The manual is a valuable resource for future use and knowledge retention.
Upon successful completion of this online course, a certificate of completion will be available for download and printing.
