WHMIS 2015 Refresher
The WHMIS 2015 Refresher online course functions as a follow-up training program for individuals who have previously completed the WHMIS 2015/GHS course. This refresher is not meant to replace the comprehensive 2-hour WHMIS 2015 course. Its aim, through the application of the Globally Harmonized System of Classification and Labelling of Chemicals (GHS) for hazard classification and communication, is to prevent workplace mishaps, illnesses, and fatalities associated with the handling and use of hazardous substances.
This WHMIS 2015 Refresher online course is designed to serve as a follow-up training for those who have previously completed the WHMIS 2015/GHS course. It’s not intended to replace the comprehensive 2-hour WHMIS 2015 course. Through the application of the Globally Harmonized System of Classification and Labelling of Chemicals (GHS) standards for hazard classification and communication, this WHMIS 2015 Refresher course strives to mitigate workplace mishaps, illnesses, and fatalities resulting from the handling and usage of hazardous substances. By the conclusion of this course, participants will have the necessary knowledge and comprehension to respond to the following queries:
- What hazardous substances might I be exposed to?
- Where can I obtain information about these substances’ hazards?
- How can I ensure my safety?
- What actions should I take in case of an incident?
- Physical and health hazards
- WHMIS 2015 hazard classifications

- The use of safety data sheets
- Worker rights and employer responsibilities under WHMIS 2015

About 30 minutes
Testing conducted throughout this online WHMIS 2015 Refresher course is designed to reinforce the information presented. A mark of 75% must be achieved in order to receive a certificate of completion. Participants are able to repeat the course two times if the pass mark is not achieved on the first attempt. Print materials for this course can be accessed online.
Upon successful completion of this online course, a certificate of completion will be available to download and print.
