This web-based course offers comprehensive guidance on the safe usage and potential risks associated with the two most commonly used motorized pallet jack trucks: "walkies" and "walkie-riders."
A motorized pallet jack, fundamental to many workplaces, is a machine utilized to lift heavy loads a few inches off the ground and relocate them. Although it may seem straightforward, the improper usage or lack of proper training on motorized pallet jacks can result in severe injury or even fatality.
The Motorized Pallet Jacks: Safe Operation course is designed to help learners develop the skills necessary to inspect and safely operate a motorized pallet jack, thereby reducing the risk of accidents and ensuring the safety of both the operator and their coworkers. It also aligns with the operator training requirements under OSHA's Powered Industrial Trucks Standard (1910.178(l)).
