Your body has a lot of moving parts, and chances are you’d like to keep all of them safe, sound, and in one piece. Nobody likes injuries, and stubbing a toe is painful enough. We don’t want you to experience anything worse.

That’s why we built the Effective Use of PPE course — a light-hearted but impactful way to teach you how to stay safe on the job. Think of it as an entertaining approach to personal safety, where you’ll actually enjoy learning how to avoid those painful eye injuries and other workplace hazards.

Once this course is complete, you will have learned:

This course also covers the following topics:

Hand Protection

• This lesson explains easy, effective strategies to protect your hands — the body part most frequently injured on the job. You’ll explore glove types, learn about risk prevention in seconds, and find out what NOT to wear. Plus, a few fun distractions for your colleagues.

Knee Protection

• Yes, knees are strange-looking — but they’re important. This module covers the best ways to protect them and how to avoid making coworkers hate you in the process. A little silliness included, because safety doesn’t have to be boring.

Back Protection

• Back injuries are no joke. This video reviews how to correctly use back braces — and a few humorous examples of what *not* to do. You’ll also learn how to protect your back without any equipment, and get a reminder to avoid messing with anyone stronger than you.

Eye Protection

• Your eyes might get irritated from time to time — but they’re still worth protecting. Learn fun and effective tips for keeping your eyes safe on the job, and find out why this video might be more entertaining than your social feed.

Hearing Protection

• This module dives into how fast hearing loss can sneak up on you — and what you can do to prevent it. We’ll compare decibel levels and throw in a few unexpected lessons you’ll definitely want to remember.

Respiratory Protection

• You breathe all day — so why not breathe safely? Discover the correct masks and filters to use in different environments, from dusty to downright disgusting. Learn how to wear them the right way — and maybe a few fun tricks for passing time at work.

Head Protection

• This section is all about keeping your noggin safe. It’s not just about avoiding brain injuries — it’s also about staying warm and upright. Expect some wild visuals and a slightly messier take on headgear safety than you’re used to. Trust us, you’ll enjoy this one.

Approximately 45 minutes

As you go through this online course, interactive assessments are included to reinforce your learning. You’ll need to score at least 80% to pass. You’ll have up to three attempts to get there, and we also provide a downloadable manual that serves as an excellent reference guide for later use.

Once you successfully finish the course, you can instantly download and print your certificate of completion.
